A BRIEF BIO
MARILYN MELIE has worked with dogs in one capacity or another for most of her adult life. In 1997, she finally took the plunge and left Wall Street behind in order to pursue her dream full time. 
After graduating from the renowned National Institute of Dog Training, she immediately “crossed over” to the world of positive training techniques, thanks to the influence of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers* and their many wonderful conferences and dog training seminars/workshops.
She then took a position as Head Trainer with the largest dog training company in the country, where she enjoyed a distinct advantage being exposed to everything under the sun in terms of training techniques – some good, some bad!
Today, she chooses to employ purely positive methods because of their proven track record for creating willingly obedient dogs. Having spent many years volunteering at various animal shelters in the Los Angeles - Pasadena area, her efforts now focus exclusively on training pets. By doing so, it's her dream that someday we'll achieve a noticeable reduction in the number of cats and dogs that end up in shelters.
